Hiraeth

(hear-ith) ...a feeling of homesickness for someplace to which you cannot return.  A home which maybe never was.  The nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of the past.

I'm Margaret - photographer, social media guru, maker, graphic designer, ballet enthusiast, sweater-monger, and insufferable homebody.  I am Hiraeth, because my nostalgia for home is something which drives my creativity and keeps me on the constant hunt for growth and inspiration.

I live in the great city of Philadelphia, known for its cheesesteaks, Betsy Ross, Gritty, and some of the best restaurants in the country. I live in a small neighborhood filled with families and dogs, endless brunch options, quiet streets. While the city holds so much excitement and opportunity, I still grow restless for more permanent dwelling in the country. Going back to my Titusville roots… roots that I so eagerly tried to separate myself from in my younger years. But growing up you get a new vision, a new headspace, and clarity. I grew up, and the nostalgia and homesickness I feel for my childhood home is a feeling that I don’t ignore. Instead, I feed off of that feeling and harness it to produce emotive and immersive work for myself and my clients. Hiraeth is all around me.

I am a hunter and gatherer of unique objects, perspectives, and ideas. Jack London said, “You can’t wait for inspiration, you have to go after it with a club”, and that’s exactly what I do every single day. When I’m not at ballet class or pouring over Architectural Digest in the bath tub, I am hard at work building brands, planning out photoshoots, making product for my online shoppe, and constantly chasing new inspiration.

Working with me is a palatial, luxury experience all around. I want you to feel balanced, steadfast, and confident, as you are about to take your brand into a whole different realm. My job is to help you discover your brand’s potential, and to give you the tools you need to grow. Getting up every day and doing what I love makes me come alive. I want to encourage you to simply show up and let me help you do the same. So let’s go on a creative journey together. As much, or as little as you need, I will work for you, wholeheartedly.
